When your favorite quarterback is dating or married to an actress or model (like Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen), there’s a tendency to focus on the significant other as a potential reason when he’s doing badly. Well, Olivia Munn is now that focus as Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers is undergoing a three-game losing streak.

When the Packers were 6-0, we hardly heard a peep about the power couple, but now that they’re 6-3 following a rare home loss to division rival Detroit, people are pointing fingers and some of those fingers are directed at Munn.

Well, the former host of G4’s “Attack of the Show” and contributor to “The Daily Show” plus cast member of “The Newsroom” is having none of it. She’s angry at Packers fans for writing comments in stories that she’s to blame for Rodgers’ struggles and subsequently, the media for making it a story:

And she didn’t appreciate ESPN blogger Rob Demovsky for pure speculation on whether Rodgers and Munn are having trouble on the homefront.

A longtime NFL agent told me recently that when he sees one of his top-performing clients play differently, as Rodgers has of late, the first thing he wonders is if something is going on in his personal life. There’s no indication that Rodgers’ relationship status has changed. Lions reporters said they spotted Rodgers’ girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn, at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that professional athletes have lives away from the field, and you never know what could be going on in their personal lives.

Munn called him out too.

She has a point on the speculation, but as for feeding the trolls mentioning them, that might be bringing more trouble than she needs. Being a high-profile couple certainly brings more attention in the spotlight, but sometimes speculating on the home life without any proof is bordering on line stepping.
