NBCSN recently enjoyed their best-ever November for total day viewership thanks to big ratings from their first-ever Notre Dame football game and some big numbers from Sprint Cup fans. The network averaged 146,000 day viewers (defined between 6am and 6pm) which represents a huge jump of 85% compared to November of 2014.

The Notre Dame vs. Boston College game at Fenway Park on November 21st averaged 2.0 million viewers and represents the most-watched college football game in NBCSN history. Meanwhile, NBCSN’s final Sprint Cup race (Martinsville) averaged 3.4 million viewers and is the most-watched November telecast for the network. NASCAR America had its best month in November, attracting an average of 118,000 viewers.

It’s worth pointing out that even though they’re carrying plenty of NHL action including Wednesday Night Rivalry games, hockey isn’t mentioned while rattling off NBCSN’s accomplishments in November. That’s not to say the games aren’t bringing in decent numbers, but it demonstrates just how big and important college football and racing are to the network.
