The speed that it took Jim Harbaugh to join Michigan this week almost broke sound barrier and the same could be said for him signing up for Twitter.

At this point, the coach only has one tweet, but it’s a doozy, asking players to meet with him at Schembechler Hall on Friday.

Since the day he’s joined Twitter, he’s already amassed a big following, some 102,000 tweeps. By comparison, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer has over 173,000 followers, but Harbaugh is gaining fast. The Fake Urban Meyer Twitter account has just 21,500 followers, but they all are following in the wake of Faux Pelini who has over 183,00 followers.

If Harbaugh gets close to Faux Pelini, then we’ll be really talking.
