In launching Fox Sports 1 and growing their digital efforts, the sports network has been able to poach a few talents from their rivals at ESPN. Mike Hill made the move from SportsCenter to America’s Pregame and Alexi Lalas was recently added to the network’s soccer lineup. Now you can add another name to that list.
According to multiple sources, Kristen Balboni will be making the move westward from Bristol to Los Angeles to join Fox Sports. Balboni was an ESPN researcher who made her name on the Mike & Mike radio program/television simulcast and had been working for the show since 2011. In addition, Balboni did video work for ESPN Fantasy during her time in Bristol.
At Fox Sports, it’s expected that Balboni will have a major digital and video presence online for At The Buzzer, the viral content hub of FoxSports.com, and a possible presence on Fox Sports 1 airwaves as well.
Balboni hinted at the news on Twitter earlier this week:

Balboni will join a slew of other recent major hires with an eye towards giving Fox Sports a digital boost in Jimmy Traina (SI), Rob Neyer (SB Nation), and Katie Nolan (Guyism).
When reached by AA, Fox Sports declined to comment.
