The United States of America has been around for well over 200 years now.  That’s probably a lot longer than the Monday Morning Quarterbacks of the day would have given a bunch of plucky colonials back in the 1700s.  We had a good run, too.  We invented the automobile and the airplane.  We were world leaders in the realms of scientific advancement and entertainment.  We gave the world feetie pajamas.

You’ll have to excuse me for having a few moments of reflection, here.  Because in all likelihood, the beginning of the end comes today.

Colin Cowherd is going to interview leading GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Monday.

Oh, and FS1 is dedicating a primetime special to it as well.  Because who wants to watch Monday Night Football when you could literally drown yourself in smarm.  (That’s not hyperbole, you’ve been warned.)

For those of you scoring at home, that’s the guy who dissed the intelligence of Dominicans who play baseball interviewing the guy who claims he’s going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it.

Let’s take a look at some of the calm, measured responses to the downfall of our democracy:

Here’s the thing – this interview could actually produce some major news and not just be a sign of the endtimes.  Hear me out…. odds are one of the following will likely happen:

A) Either Trump or Cowherd or both says something that gets Cowherd suspended/fired.

B) Either Trump or Cowherd or both says something that brings Trump’s campaign to a screeching halt.

C) Trump names Cowherd his VP candidate.

My guess is B, but you’ll have to fill me in on what exactly is said.  I’ll be busy looking up real estate in… let’s say, New Zealand.  Yea, New Zealand would be fun.
