While you were sleeping last night, or while you were watching something else after giving up when the Lions led the Packers 20-0 in the third quarter, Green Bay completed one of the great comebacks of the season.  It all culminated on an untimed down Hail Mary where Aaron Rodgers found Richard Rodgers in the endzone after throwing the ball approximately 498 yards in the air.  Here’s the video of the play:

While that call from Jim Nantz is pretty good, the local radio calls are always a real treat in this one.  In this instance, particularly the one from Detroit, which builds in the excitement of keeping the Packers out of the endzone one last time and ends with “OH NO!”

Not too bad, but I wish every NFL announcer whose team loses in dramatic circumstances could channel the “Charlton Heston pounding the sand in front of the broken Statue of Liberty” emotion of Paul Allen and the Vikings.
