Welcome to AA’s NFL local ratings rankings. Every week, we’ll take a look at which teams have the highest TV ratings in their local markets, presented 1-32 and with commentary to help provide context, enjoy.

Byes: NY Jets, Baltimore, Jacksonville, Dallas

1. Green Bay (Milwaukee market) (Fox) – 51.6

Yet again, the Packers topped our rankings, setting a new season high and the highest local rating for any club in 2014. They join New Orleans as the only team this year to get a rating over 50 for their blowout win over the Eagles.

2. New England (Boston market) (NBC) – 40.2

The blowout over the Colts was the second-highest rated Sunday night game ever in Boston.

3. Kansas City (Fox) – 39.2

The game against Seattle drew the Chiefs’ highest ratings since Week 5.

4. New Orleans (CBS) – 39.0

The slumping (but still in the NFC South!) Saints drew their lowest ratings since Week 5.

5. Seattle (Fox) – 38.9

Only a game in Week 2 has drawn lower Seattle ratings than Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

6. Buffalo (NFL Net) – 38.8
7. Pittsburgh (ESPN) – 38.3
8. Indianapolis (NBC) – 37.1
9. Cleveland (CBS) – 36.7
10. Denver (CBS) – 36.5

An 11 a.m. local time start against St. Louis equals a season low for the Broncos.

11. Philadelphia (Fox) – 32.0
12. Minnesota (Minneapolis-St. Paul market) (CBS) – 31.3
13. Detroit (Fox) – 29.9

Highest-rated game since the Monday night opener for the Lions in Detroit.

14. Arizona (Phoenix market) (Fox) – 29.8
15. Cincinnati (CBS) – 28.5
16. Houston (CBS) – 28.4

Highest ratings for the Texans in Houston since Week 5, the only game to out-rate it all season.

17. San Diego (CBS) – 28.3
18. Chicago (CBS) – 27.6
19. Tennessee (Nashville market) (ESPN) – 26.5

A visit from the Steelers and a Monday night game led the Titans to, by far, their highest ratings of the season.

20. Carolina (Charlotte market) (Fox) – 22.0
21. Washington (Fox) – 21.8

Lowest ratings since Week 4 in the nation’s capital.

22. San Francisco (SF-OAK-SJ market) (Fox) – 21.2
23. St. Louis (CBS) – 21.1
24. Tampa Bay (Fox) – 19.4

Highest ratings since Week 1 for the Bucs, who are at 2-8 just two games out of the division lead. The NFC South!
