The microphones used for professional nationally televised broadcasts are top-of-the-line technology and aren't supposed to pick up any ambient sound. That leaves me wondering what in the world happened at the 10 second mark of this video, when it sure sounds like a prodigious fart made its way onto the air.
The announcers, Dave Armstrong and Reid Gettys, then fall into a bit of an awkward silence for about 10 seconds, only building the suspicion of guilt. What else could that sound have been?
