Here’s a cool little moment from the Rays-Angels game on Saturday night at Angel Stadium. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Luis Jimenez fouled a ball back behind the plate. The ball was caught by…Angels broadcaster Jose Mota!
Two quick observations. First, this was a great catch by Mota – you don’t see broadcasters back hand foul balls too often. Second…why does he have a glove in the booth with him? Does he wear it at all times while calling a game? These questions need to be answered!
