LeBron James opted out of his contract with the Miami Heat, officially beginning The Summer of LeBron: Part II. Where it will end, nobody knows, but there is the very real scenario where he leaves the Miami Heat and the entire thing is blown up before they could win those seven championships he predicted. The doomsday scenario is Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade also not returning and leaving the Heat back at square one.
The official Heat website is preparing for the worst, apparently. After James opted out of free agency, the team featured its new Big 3 – Ray Allen, Michael Beasley, and Udonis Haslem.
Norris Cole can’t get any love? What about Mario Chalmers! Michael Beasley over BIRDMAN?!?! C’mon!
If this really is the Heat’s new Big 3, it’s going to be hilarious to see how many of the team’s bandwagon fans show up next season. It’d be awesome to see Bieber and Drake show up to the season opener and suddenly realize they’re going to be watching Michael Beasley jack up 25 shots in a loss to the 76ers.
