The Winter Olympics provided many, many moments of great levity, least of which the monstrous infection that took over portions of Bob Costas' face. To commemorate the off-beat moments from the broadcast booth, NBCOlympics.com has collected the funniest announcing calls from Sochi. The clip isn't embeddable, so you have to view it at this link.
Interestingly enough, the NBC clip doesn't feature any of their announcers. Rather, the curling puns and hilarious attempts at pronuncing names of athletes all come from the world feed. What a missed opportunity! I can think of a couple hysterical moments from NBC that belong, like Bob Costas drinking a shot of vodka with Mary Carillo…
Or Al Michaels telling Dan Patrick to "get lucky." Thankfully we still don't know how that worked out…
