Earlier this week veteran baseball writer Rob Neyer announced he was leaving SB Nation after three years at the blog network. Neyer's article made it sound like a future home was already on the horizon and Awful Announcing has learned that is indeed the case.
Multiple sources have informed AA that Neyer is heading to Fox Sports, following in the footsteps of other prominent web-based hires like Jimmy Traina (SI) and Erik Malinowski (Buzzfeed).
Additionally, according to a source familiar with the situation, Neyer will be contributing to a variety of platforms – mostly on the internet but also television appearances on Fox Sports 1.
Before moving to SB Nation in 2011, Neyer wrote for ESPN.com for 15 years.
When reached by AA, Fox declined to comment.
