Earlier in the week, we recommended that Falcons WR Roddy White should consider a Twitter hiatus, because betting on Duke to beat Mercer was not the sure thing he thought it was. And then he got all uppity about honoring his bet with a random Falcons fan.
Well, yesterday, White caved to peer pressure (or PR pressure or team pressure or whatever) and decided to pay the man, @Dhoyt77.
@DHoyt77 2 season tickets, 2 SB tix, pregame sideline passes to game and a day at camp as my guest. How does that sound

We can use this as another example in the endless debate on whether or not athletes should be on Twitter, and if they are, how they should use it. White did the right thing here and everything turned out okay. Hopefully he doesn’t make any more bets with followers during the NCAA Tournament, though.
