Kansas City Royals color commentator Rex Hudler did not fare very well in our local MLB announcer rankings last month – him and his fellow Royals broadcasters finished 18th out of the 30 teams, but Hudler was torn to bits by our readers. During Tuesday night’s Rockies-Royals game, the broadcast cut to the full moon coming back from a commercial break, and Hudler said that it was “a beautiful planet”.
Hey Rex? The Moon isn’t a planet. It’s a moon. If he called Pluto a beautiful planet, I could understand it (even if Pluto isn’t a planet anymore), but the Moon? C’mon man…
