Bob Bradley, the former head coach of U.S. Men’s soccer, has a fascinating story to tell. Bradley’s career took an interesting turn after his dismissal from Team USA as he accepted the role of head coach of Egpyt’s national soccer team. The move placed him in the heart of the Egyptian Revolution and though Egypt’s Premier League fell apart, Bradley kept pushing his team forward in the hopes of a World Cup berth.

A new documentary from PBS titled American Pharaoh will air on June 16th at 10:00 EST and will take a look at Bradley’s unique experience in Egypt. This should be a fascinating film which should shed some light both on Bradley’s time in the country, but also on how sports are viewed during a country’s revolution.
