The MLB Postseason circa 2014 is upon us.  Below you’ll find the broadcast schedule for this week’s games with dates, times, and announcers through October 5th.

As an additional guide, the network assignments for the games are a bit confusing.  TBS has the AL Wild Card game while ESPN has the NL Wild Card game, re-entering the postseason mix once again for their only television broadcast.  Throughout the Divisional Round of the playoffs, the series are split among Fox Sports, TBS, and MLB Network.  MLB Network has 2 NL Divisional Round games – Dodgers/Cardinals Game 2 and Giants/Pirates/Nats Game 3.  Fox Sports 1 will be televising postseason action for the first time.

As a general rule of thumb, Fox and Fox Sports 1 will televise the NL while TBS has the AL up till the World Series, when Fox takes over.  Here’s the list of commentators that will follow each divisional series:

Oakland/Kansas City vs LA Angels – Ernie Johnson, Ron Darling, Cal Ripken, Matt Winer
Baltimore vs Detroit – Brian Anderson, Dennis Eckersley, Joe Simpson, Jaime Maggio.

San Francisco/Pittsburgh vs Washington – Matt Vasgersian, John Smoltz, Jon Paul Morosi
St. Louis vs LA Dodgers – Joe Buck (Game 1) or Bob Costas (Game 2/MLBN) or Thom Brennaman, Harold Reynolds, Tom Verducci, Ken Rosenthal
