Mike Francesa has been very upset of late with the simulcast of his radio show being pre-empted on Fox Sports 1. The network, of course, demotes the show on days when the much higher-rated UEFA Champions League is scheduled, or if a NASCAR driver happens to cough. The relationship continues to be rocky, as Francesa was contentious with FS1 football insiders Peter Schrager and Joel Klatt yesterday.
Jay Onrait, gentleman and mensch that he is, sympathizes with The Sports Pope. He found the perfect comparison to how Francesa feels on last night’s Fox Sports Live.
Personally, I think it’s great that Onrait found a way to relate to his fellow Fox Sports 1 star. It’s always nice to see broadcasters offering an olive branch to one another as a sign of peace. Fox Sports 1: the one for chums.
