Bob Costas and his pink, gross, infected eyes has become the butt of jokes all over the nation. From social media memes to late night routines, nearly everyone has had their swing at the face of the Olympics. The infection was so bad, Matt Lauer had to sub for Costas and break his streak of 157 consecutive nights in the primetime anchor chair.
The major question has been what caused Costas' eye infection. It just so happens we finally have an answer.
