Ray Lewis has been an obnoxiously huge part of the story of the upcoming Super Bowl. After he announced his retirement, he's tried his best to make his send-off into an inspirational epic a la Remember The Titans.
Saturday Night Live took a crack at having Kenan Thompson impersonate Lewis during the Weekend Update. Thompson has the head nod down, and that's pretty much it. The jokes, to me, made no sense. When Thompson starts talking about the Rockefeller Center "lake" he pretty much loses me. Aside from the dance at the end and the constant references to a higher power leading the Ravens to the Super Bowl, it didn't hit on anything Lewis is known for. Perhaps the whole skit is supposed to mock Lewis' mentally imbalanced state right now. I'll admit, the segment had me confused. Just imagine what's going to happen when Lewis takes his talents to ESPN.
