TBS's crowded MLB studio show is about to get a little more crowded, according to Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated. Deitsch is reporting that Gary Sheffield will join TBS as a guest analyst from October 5th-7th, while current Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones will be a guest analyst from October 8th-10th.

Both men are interesting choices, especially Jones, who had a breakout year in 2012 for the Orioles and is in the prime of his career. Sheffield's inclusion is interesting, since he's been working as an agent since retirement. One of his clients is Jason Grilli of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who are still a part of the playoff picture. There could be a bit of puffery on Sheffield's part towards Grilli and his Pirates teammates, and that's something to keep an eye on.

For the record, there's a (slim) possibility that all of the Postseason series will be completed by the eighth, when Jones makes his guest appearance on the panel. I'm not totally sure what would happen then, but I'm sure TBS would love the Rays-Red Sox series to go five games to get Jones' insight on two of his AL East rivals.
