There are hundreds, if not thousands of broadcasters working hard away from the limelight of the major leagues in many sports.  Whether this be ECHL hockey, or D-League basketball, or Division II football, or minor league baseball there are many working hard to move their way up the broadcasting ladder.

In Charleston, South Carolina this week one of those announcers got to call an inning of baseball with NBC's Bob Costas.

Costas stepped in the Single A Charleston Riverdogs booth for an inning with announcer Sean Houston.  The SNF and Olympics host is Houston's broadcasting idol and he agreed to come to Charleston to call an inning with him.  It's not something you see very often, but it's a very cool gesture by Costas to make Houston's dream become a reality.  Also be on the lookout for the rare sight of Bob Costas in sunglasses.
