This awkward exchange between Greg Gumbel and Ernie Johnson is what CBS and Turner's NCAA Tournament partnership is all about. Two media behemoths coming together as one. The network guy goes in for the pleasant corporate handshake. The cable guy comes flying in with his "hip" fist bump. Ultimatel, it's the fist bump that prevails.
Gumbel should have gone for more of a power play, giving in to EJ's fist bump is just handing him "lead studio anchor" status for the tournament's early days. You can't give in that easy Greg!
