New Jersey Brooklyn Nets center Kris Humphries has found himself in the unenviable position where seemingly the majority of people feel that he is a colossal douchebag. It’s an odd situation because none of Humphries’ perceived douchbaggery seems to have stemmed from anything NBA-related but rather from his appearance on one of those vapid Kardashian shows where he played the character of Kim Kardashian’s husband. Spoiler alert for those that have all 27 seasons of the Kardashians in your Netflix queue and aren’t up to date… they get divorced.

Since then the public has shown its wrath and Humphries has been one of the most booed players in NBA arenas this season. For good measure Kanye West even came out with a song with lyrics dissing (at 1:19) Humphries that implied he could have had Jay-Z cut him from the Nets or something. Humphries image has regressed from underachieving NBAer to now some kind of neanderthal-like character that’s universally hated. It’s obvious he was in need for some good PR.

Enter Funny or Die for one of their patented image makeover videos. Making light of this absurd situation he finds himself in is probably the smartest way to go about dealing with widespread claims of dbaggery. While Humphries is his same drab self, it’s good that he has a sense of humor about his situation.

In a related note for reasons still unclear to me today, I absolutely despised Kris Humphries when he was at Minnesota for that one year. In my college years in the Izzone at MSU I never came close to to being as vile to anyone else in the Big Ten as Humphries. Looking back at it all, it made zero sense as I don’t remember him doing anything outwardly objectionable. I guess Humphries just has one of those faces that motivates normally civil people to want to punch him in the face.
