Vin Scully did indeed take over the Dodgers Twitter page Monday for a Q&A session that featured his thoughts on everything from his favorite Dodgers moment to his perspective on statistics to his favorite television series. Evidently, Vin Scully is a fan of Homeland… I wonder if he watches the Walking Dead, too. The event was a success for the Dodgers as Scully's Twitter session was trending in the US. And, as the legendary broadcaster indicated at the end of the Q&A, hopefully he'll be doing more "Twittering" in the future.
.@joskajess Preparation is gathering information all year long. However, in the booth it's mostly thought of in the moment. #AskVin

.@zgreenz The biggest clubhouse personality was a bat boy named Charly di Giovanni. He was a character, and we called him the brow. #AskVin

I've been hooked on a television show called "Homeland." They do that show so well. #AskVin

.@craigary Don't get too involved in new stats. There isn't any feeling for them. I'll have to be reeducated like with the Twitter. #AskVin

Thank you all. I look forward to Twittering with you during the season. #AskVin

Seriously, how cool is that? The only people allowed to call Twitter "the Twitter" are The Iron Sheik and Vin Scully. Hopefully we're one step closer to Vin Scully joining Twitter. After all, if The Pope can do it @Pontifex, Vin Scully can't be too far behind.
