At today’s Cubs-Tigers game, comedian Jeff Garlin was the guest brought in to sing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” and after his song, he sat in the Cubs broadcast booth for half of an inning. In the midst of some smalltalk about outfielder Alfonso Soriano, Garlin says “let’s hope we can trade him soon!” The Cubs announce team of Len Kasper and Bob Brenly stand in silence for a few seconds before some uncomfortable laughter from Garlin, a half-hearted apology, and a changing of the topic.

It was an eventful afternoon for Garlin, who finished his singing of the iconic Wrigley anthem by shouting “Lemme tell ya: you Tigers fans suck!” at the crowd inside the friendly confines, which was largely full of Tigers supporters. Hey, at least he’s a passionate Cubs fan and not faking anything.
