Brian Scalabrine seems to have taken the mantle from such greats as Mark Madsen and Brian Cardinal as the prototypical goofy, lovable benchwarmer. As a member of the championship Celtics team of a few years ago, Scalabrine remarkably became one of the most popular players on the team without seeing much action off the pine. That popularity then followed Scal to the Bulls, where he has morphed from red=headed bench player to… The White Mamba. Well, I guess there was one time this season when the White Mamba earned his nickname on the court. Still, with Scalabrine’s Bulls knocked out of the playoffs, it’s allowed the White Mamba to really test out his crossover appeal, namely this random energy commercial?!
I’ll be honest, I don’t know what “the power to switch” will do for me or my energy costs. I also don’t know what Brian Scalabrine doing random things like ping pong and dodgeball have to do with energy either. But, if this commercial is any indication, the White Mamba could be sticking around for a while.
