Fox Sports communications VP Dan Bell has tweeted that Fox’s newest on-air talent, Erin Andrews, will be making her debut at the MLB All-Star Game on Fox next Tuesday. Andrews will serve as a reporter in the American League dugout during the game.

Fox isn’t wasting any time getting Andrews on-air with the network, much like NBC did with Michelle Beadle. However, Fox’s usage of Andrews is a little bit different from NBC’s usage of Beadle. Andrews is very familiar with reporting at baseball games, and this isn’t much of a departure for her with her new employer. NBC threw Beadle, normally a studio host, into the fire as a reporter at the US Olympic trials for track and field.

By using Andrews in an avenue that she’s familiar with, there’s less of a chance of a less than rousing beginning to her tenure at Fox, and Andrews can ease into a full-time role with the network.
