You know who’s been getting a free pass for way too long? God. I’m glad somebody finally called him out for screwing up with that whole Bills situation. He’s tested the good people of Buffalo for quite a while, and this weekend, Steve Johnson’s faith nearly broke. And I have to praise him for it.
It’s only logical that if he’s going to get all the credit when TDs are caught (and awards are won, etc.), he should have to own up and face the music when the game-winner gets butterfingered. That is, of course, assuming that you 1. believe in a god and 2. believe in a god that doesn’t have more to worry about than who wins a football game. Of course, that’s just silly – even if god did have a vested interest in the outcome of this game, the Bills had already covered (+6.5).
