Tigers’ announcer, Ernie Harwell, is a Baseball institution, so it came with great sadness that the HOFer has incurable Bile Duct Cancer. Harwell doesn’t know how long he is to this Earth, but he’s not letting that stop him from enjoying his last few days. Ernie talked to the Tigers crowd before last night’s game, and here’s the tribute video that was shown and his speech….
It’s amazing this day in age, when someone works/plays for the same team, for as long as Ernie did. I can’t imagine what it feels like to be him right now, but it certainly has to help to know that you’ve touched so many lives over the years.
