There’s obviously a whole lot of uncertainty regarding the Chargers/Texans game this weekend, but one thing is for sure. They will be on television no matter where they play. The teams were originally scheduled to be on CBS this Sunday, but with the possibility of a move to Monday Night….ESPN is now in the mix.

ESPN owns the rights to all Monday Night games, but would actually be willing to do a commendable thing in regards to the broadcast…

ESPN was making tentative plans yesterday just in case it has to produce the game, but it’s anyone’s guess as to the identity of the announcers – or even the producer and director. ESPN is televising only one college football game on the West Coast this weekend – tonight in Fresno – but the network could arrange to partner with CBS to ensure a quality production.

Coming from a company that had issues over airing MLB Playoff commercials surrounding TBS’ coverage…this is a welcome change. No matter which channel airs the game, I hope that the people of San Diego can watch Football and have their minds free of the destruction for at least a few hours. Ensuring this game is on TV is a good thing, and I think ESPN would be doing the right thing in letting CBS help with the broadcast.

One certainty is Bolts on TV (Sign On San Diego)
