When Vin Scully talks, we listen. During Monday night’s Braves-Dodgers game, Scully narrated a story about Braves outfielder Jonny Gomes…and how he was once attacked by a wolf as a child.

Wait, what?

I’m more curious as to why a “hired hand” brought in by Gomes’s grandmother would bring a leashed wolf to a jobsite, but hey, I’m just being picky now.

I’d much rather hear stories like this than getting my head bashed in with obvious statements like “Jordan Walden hops when he pitches”, but maybe I’m alone there.
