One of the biggest stories in the media this week is Mike Goldberg’s implosion as an NFL on Fox announcer. The UFC voice struggled on Sunday in his debut calling football on national television, then blew up at fans on Twitter, then was taken off his assignment for this weekend.
Now we have video evidence of that debut and it’s not very pretty for Goldberg and broadcast partner Brendon Ayanbadejo (who’s been pretty good for Fox Sports 1 in the studio it has to be said).
While Goldberg may have been taken off of his assignment for reasons outside the broadcast booth, there’s enough evidence in the clips below to conclude that it’s best for everyone that his football calling days are over for the time being.
