Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors set a new NBA record last night, going absolutely bonkers in the 3rd quarter and scoring 37 points.  By himself!  In one quarter!  Thompson’s outburst broke the record of 33 points shared by George Gervin and Carmelo Anthony.

Thompson did it all – catch and shoot three pointers, step-back threes, mid-range jumpers, drives to the rim, even a one-handed alley oop throwdown from Steph Curry.  Thompson was perfect in the quarter: 13/13 from the field, 9/9 from downtown, and 2/2 at the free throw line.  Only 22 other players in the league have scored 37 points in an entire game this season.

Watch and listen as he leaves Warriors announcers Bob Fitzgerald and Jim Barnett in amazement over one of the most mesmerizing 12 minutes in NBA history.
