You may have heard there was a football game tonight.  You also may have heard that it was decided by one of the most jaw-dropping plays and calls in NFL history.  With the Seahawks on the doorstep of back-to-back Super Bowl titles and Marshawn Lynch in the backfield, Seattle decided to throw from the 1 yard line.  Instead of running it with Beast Mode, Malcolm Butler of the Pats intercepted the Russell Wilson pass.  Game over.

Naturally, offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell is going to get quite a bit of blame for the loss as at least one enterprising individual made this change to his Wikipedia page.

At least Bevell has some company on the Seahawks staff with controversial game ending calls.  Pete Carroll has been in this situation at least once before.

UPDATE: Bevell probably isn’t going to win over any fans by throwing his receiver under the bus after the game…
