In the midst of an ENORMOUS controversy over #DeflateGate, it seems like a very weird time for the NFL’s official Instagram page to post a photograph of, you guessed it, deflated balls. The NFL shared this picture of the making of the footballs for Super Bowl XLIX in a very deflated state. Naturally, fans all linked the picture to the Patriots’ current cheating scandal. It makes you wonder if the league is trying to send a very subtle message here, or Bill Belichick got to these very early in preparation for the big game.
Or… the operator of the NFL’s Instagram page is just blissfully unaware of the latest scandal of the century within the league.
