Mike Florio of NBC’s Pro Football Talk is no stranger to controversy. Florio, who has his own radio show with PFT Live and is a studio contributor on Football Night in America, stirred the pot on Thursday when he wrote a story about Indianapolis Colts linebacker D’Qwell Jackson getting arrested for allegedly punching a pizza delivery guy, then allegedly threatening to kill him.

After former NFL linebacker Scott Fujita on Twitter spoke out about details in the piece, Florio blamed the NFL’s new personal conduct policy, saying it actually gives incentives for embellished and false allegations. Let’s just say NFL spokesman Greg Aiello put the hammer down.

Florio then fired back before there was a cease-fire.

So… the NFL offseason is off to a rousing start.
