Not one, but two sports media personalities are spreading their wings into the travel industry with two new shows on the Travel Channel.

First, NBC’s Kyle Martino just got done with a trip to the UK with the network’s Premier League coverage.  Now he’s going to really be piling up the frequent flyer miles.  Martino has been named the co-host of a new Travel Channel show 36 Hours based on the New York Times travel column of the same name.  Martino will be joined by former Top Chef winner Kristen Kish.  The show will focus on the pair getting to experience travel destinations in just 36 hours.

Second, Fox NFL Sunday host Curt Menefee will be the presenter for “Hello Goodbye” which will interview people at airports.  If that doesn’t quite stir up the imagination, the program will chronicle “heart-warming” and “heart-wrenching” arrivals and departures in airports at Chicago and Dallas.

The former idea might be more enticing to me as a viewer, especially if noted EPL travel hotbeds like Burnley will make the list.
