The Islanders and Capitals will play Game 7 of their first round series tonight.  After winning Game 6 at the Nassau Coliseum to force the decisive game, NBC4 in New York ran this bizarre report with not one, but two snafus.  The most alarming of which is reporting that a possible Game 8 will be played in the series if the Isles can win Game 7 in Washington.  That Game 8 would extend the stay of the franchise in their longtime home.

WTF, mate?  There are no Game 8s in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, at least last time I checked.

Now I really hope the Islanders win their series against the Caps, only for the confusion of seeing NBC do a report on why the Islanders are now mysteriously playing the Rangers in Game 8.
