Four weeks from Saturday, the US Men’s National Team will play Mexico at the Rose Bowl, and a trip to the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup is on the line.
Mexican TV network Azteca is hyping the crucial match in a unique way – they’re setting pro-Mexico, anti-USMNT highlights to a Donald Trump speech in which he talks about Mexican immigration.
You know, as a flag-waving, card-carrying, stars & stripes supporting American, I should probably be angry about this…but the ad is just genius and extremely well done (even if many of the highlights are a bit dated). It almost seems like a political attack ad, but for a soccer match instead of an election.
All you can really do is tip your hat to Azteca, and get hyped to cheer on the USMNT.
