Brent Musburger opened the SEC Network with a terrificly produced video package highlighting the league’s history of success. Immediately the presence of Brent sends a message to the viewer – the SEC Network is for real.
And then within ten minutes the network went to Tim Tebow and Joe Tessitore on-site at the University of Florida. And…. the Gators mascot gave Tim Tebow a birthday cake.

ESPN, the unquestioned WorldWide Leader in celebrating Tim Tebow’s birthday.
Good Lord. This is why ESPN created the SEC Network, isn’t it? Watching this I had all kinds of scary flashbacks to two years ago when ESPN hit rock bottom as a network.
Fine. Whatever. The SEC Network is supposed to be nothing more than propaganda for the SEC’s genetic superiority versus the rest of humankind, I get that.
But Booger McFarland better get a cake on his birthday too, or else I’m calling BS.
