Relatively new ESPN analyst and former Oakland Athletics pitcher Dallas Braden was a part of the Sunday Night Baseball broadcast of A’s-Angels last night.  He went out into the people for a segment on, allegedly, the rowdiest fans in baseball.

What we found was anything but…

Why this video is an epic fail, and not just a fail. What you thought we put that in the title just for the sake of hyperbole?

1) The rowdiest fans in baseball should not wait for a camera cue to start making noise.
2) The guy chilling next to Braden with a beer and showing it to the camera is not exactly helping the perception that this atmosphere is “absolute pandemonium.”
3) Braden saying “I’m not even sure if you guys can hear me right now” sounds like it’s out of a Whose Line is it Anyway fake news skit.
4) The rowdiest fans in baseball should not wait for a second cue from a TV guy to start making noise.
5) The camera pans back to these energetic, hardcore fans… and shows them sitting down in the midst of empty seats.  I’ve been in optometrist offices that were rowdier than that.
