While ESPN falls under a lot of scrutiny for perceived SEC bias, there’s at least one college football personality at the network who has taken on the role of SEC antagonist – former FSU QB Danny Kanell. He’s been all over the SEC’s case this season (while at the same time defending the Seminoles against critics).
So when the SEC struck out in the New Year’s Six and #1 Alabama got upset by #4 Ohio State, it was his chance to gloat… but he did so at the expense of his own company’s network. An ESPN personality trolling an ESPN network? Kanell better hope that’s not suspension worthy.
Don’t worry about SEC Network, though. Paul Finebaum’s callers suggesting Lane Kiffin should be fired immediately after the Sugar Bowl is the best entertainment around.
