Late Friday night the official March Madness Twitter account revealed a significant change to the announcing lineup for Saturday’s Elite 8 game between Notre Dame and Kentucky. Brian Anderson is getting the call from the bullpen in place of Marv Albert.
Marv’s under the weather and will not be able to call tomorrow's @KentuckyMBB vs. @NDmbb game.

Brian Anderson will join @realchriswebber @LenElmore & @lewisjohnsonMG with the Elite Eight call from Cleveland.

It’s a shame that Albert is under the weather and can’t call the game, hopefully he’s back to full health soon.
What an opportunity for Anderson though, not only to step in and call an Elite 8 game… but to call Kentucky’s game and what could be history in the making. One could argue this is the must-see regional final this year. Anderson did really good work the first weekend of the tournament partnered with Steve Smith and he’s definitely worthy of the assignment. (In case you’re wondering about Ian Eagle, he’s calling the East Regional for Westwood One radio.) Anderson has called playoff games in the NBA and MLB for Turner, but this game is definitely one of the biggest he’s worked for the network.
