Damian Lillard is quickly becoming one of the NBA’s best clutch players.  Tuesday night in OKC, Lillard hit a three to send the game into OT that looked a lot like the one he hit against the Houston Rockets in last year’s playoffs.

That shot certainly entered the memory of Blazers analyst Mike Rice.  But in calling back to the Rockets buzzer beater, he had a slight geography fail.  He called Oklahoma City (yes, OKLAHOMA City) a “Texas team.”  Here’s the hilarious exchange between Rice and play by play man Mike Barrett.

Rice: “It’s a Texas team, a different one, but that’s the Lillard shot!”
Barrett: “Well we’re close to Texas anyway, I know what your point is.”
Rice: “Well Oklahoma, Texas…”

Too bad we just published our list of the Top 20 broadcast bloopers of 2014, or else this might be a last minute contender to make the countdown.
