When it was announced that Wesley Morris was leaving Grantland for the New York Times, you just knew his former boss Bill Simmons would have something to say.  Simmons has not shied away from criticizing ESPN, especially after signing with HBO.  This time while complimenting Morris, one has to think the word choice of “undefeated” was very intentional.

As of that tweet, The Undefeated still hasn’t launched yet and Jason Whitlock may be on his way out at ESPN.  Grantland’s future is up in the air.  The only certain here is that Bill Simmons will be subtweeting ESPN until the end of time or hell freezes over and he returns to Bristol, whatever happens first.
