ESPN says Adrienne Lawrence's lawsuit is 'entirely without merit.'
"In early 2016, ESPN's 'The Undefeated' personality Jemele Hill received a threatening and racially disparaging voicemail from Berman on her ESPN phone line."
Hill said she likely wouldn't make those remarks about a potential sponsor boycott in the same way again, and talked about some of the Cowboys' advertisers being ESPN advertisers.
"You all acknowledge that one of the strengths we have going for us as a show is Michael and Jemele's chemistry, but Michael and Jemele don't fucking talk to each other?"
This somehow feels both shocking and entirely inevitable.
Frequent cable news guest Stephen A. Smith says ESPN should stick to sports.
"I don't really have any regrets about the language that I used, because I do think that there is some evidence to at least where we can question some of the things that he's said and done."
2017 will be a year that isn't celebrated too wildly in Bristol.
