After a lengthy spell on the sidelines battling with cancer, Dick Vitale is finally ready to return to broadcasting next season.

Proceeds from Until My Last Breath: Fighting Cancer with My Young Heroes will benefit the Dick Vitale Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at the V Foundation for Cancer Research.

ESPN's beloved college basketball commentator Dick Vitale announced on Thursday that his doctors told him he was cancer-free.
“The cancer is gone, which is amazing news, yet the impact of the treatments has taken its toll on my voice and requires more healing."

Dickie V underwent 35 radiation treatments following his third cancer diagnosis in as many years.
Beloved sports broadcaster Dick Vitale recently finished radiation for his vocal cord cancer, and awaits tests to see how the procedure went.
Vitale has had a remarkable run at ESPN, and as the voice of college basketball for many.
"I plan to fight like hell to be ready to call games when the college hoops season tips off in the Fall."
Vitale's doctor is optimistic that they can have him ready for his 45th season on ESPN's airwaves.
"Four, three... Lamont Butler, Lamont Butler, pull-up jump shot... GOOD! GOOD! GOOD! GOOD! THEY'RE STORMIN' THE COURT! THEY'RE STORMIN' THE COURT!"
Vitale has been a surprising absence from the NCAA Tournament on American TV over the last 40+ years.
At 83, Dick Vitale is cancer-free.

Dick Vitale and his family spoke to Graham Bensinger about the challenges of Vitale's cancer and vocal cord dysplasia treatments, and Vitale's wife and daughter told Bensinger how hard it was to see him unable to talk.
"I reflected on his speech many times during my seven-month battle – ‘don’t give up, don’t ever give up Dickie V’ – and I remembered my mother and father, who taught me never to believe in ‘can’t’. Jimmy V was special and his legacy lives on. I am so grateful to receive this tremendous award in his honor."
"He feels optimistic that if I follow his plan (which I will) that he will get me back court side to do what I truly love – talking college hoops for ESPN during the 2022-23 season."
