Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard, and Michael Owen are four of the most accomplished footballers in the history of English soccer. Between them, the four have accounted for scores of England caps, Premier League titles, European trophies, you name it. They’ve done it all and seen it all.

And that’s what makes the following clip all the more amazing.

All of them were in the studio for BT Sport’s coverage of the Champions League in the UK and were on the air to break down Barcelona’s epic, incredible, mesmerizing, record-breaking comeback against Paris Saint Germain. Down 4-0 heading into the second leg, Barcelona scored 3 goals in the final 7 minutes to win the game 6-1 and the tie 6-5.

For Sergi Roberto’s game-winning goal at the very end, all four of them lost their collective minds in the studio.

Yes, that was Liverpool and England legend Michael Owen running a lap around the studio desk in excitement. To make it even better, Ian Darke was on commentary for BT and here was his call of the final goal.

Barcelona’s comeback, and these reactions, are what makes sports so great and so irreplaceable in our lives. Who could have ever scripted something like that? To see some of the greatest players of all-time up off their seats in a combination of excitement and disbelief and react just like a fan at home is really pretty cool.
