About Joe Lucia

I'm the managing editor of Awful Announcing and the news editor of The Comeback. I also made The Outside Corner a thing for six seasons.

So once again the Big networks have stacked the games for week 3. with NO national games on week 4. This is why they need to CUT the preseason to three games. Also why not put Nantz and Romo on Saturday for LA/LA instead of Friday night with KC/Seattle. Plus why would any one watch MIN/SF on a Sunday night in late August these teams will be horrible this year. Also the Seahawks must be a big draw this year as EVERY one their games will be shown live nationally either on CBS or NFL Network. I know they play all 4 games on the West Cost but still I do not remember them ever getting this much love in the preseason.

    • Sean Mooney

You are irrationally angry about preseason football on TV.

    • Shawn Diiorio

Week 3 is the week where starters see the most action. So it makes the most sense to televise more games that week. You need that 4th week to figure out who the last few guys are on your roster, if you cut the 4th game, week 3 just becomes the week where no one plays.

Isn’t this the 1st time that the Hall Of Fame Game has been played on a Thursday? I thought that recently it has been played on a Sunday or Monday Night?

    • Shawn Diiorio

They changed it so that the ceremony doesn’t result in crappy field conditions for the game which was what led to the game getting cancelled last year.

  • Donny Peer

Didn’t the Hall Of Fame Game used to be between an AFC and NFC Team? I wonder when they stopped that format.

    • Shawn Diiorio

they changed it to teams who have someone entering the Hall.
