With the Winter Olympics soon arriving, NBC’s Jan. 5 181-minute telecast of the ladies’ free skate portion of the 2018 “U.S. Figure Skating Championships” from San Jose, Calif. drew an average of 4.48 million viewers. Not counting prior Olympic editions, it was the most-watched United States figure skating telecast since 2010. (Source: NBC Sports)

The 2018 Monster Energy Supercross season opened in Anaheim, Calif. on Jan. 6 and saw good gains for FS1. It posted 346,000 viewers, and ranked as the top FS1 telecast of Jan. 6. The season-opening event was up 18 percent from last season’s opener (292,000) and up 25 percent from 2016 (276,000). (Source: Fox Sports)
